Das "Kring" ist eine traditionelle Schlitztrommel (Log Drum) mit drei Tönen, die aus einem Stück Hartholz geschnitzt wurde und in manchen Regionen Afrikas aus "Kiringi" genannt wird. Diese Baustamm Trommel zählt wohl zu den ursprünglichsten und ältesten Trommeln der Menschheit. Ein Vorläufer der professionellen Schlitztrommeln (siehe Schlagwerk) und auch der Tongue Drums und Rav Vast die aus Metall gebaut sind.
